Brand new 130 sq. mt. apartment with 1 bedroom, garden, and dependence with a second bedroom located in a residential neighborhood just a short walk from the Parc du Cinquantenaire and the European Commission. The apartment is on the ground floor of a small 3-storey building built in 1913 that was completely renovated in early 2019. The building has 4 apartments on 3 floors, all managed exclusively by Halldis. The apartment opens onto a large room made up of a reading corner with 2 armchairs, a small table and floor lamp, and the living room with an open floor plan kitchen. The living room has a sofa which can be converted into a double bed (160 cm x 200 cm), and a TV with wifi connection. The sleeping area, which instead overlooks Rue Degroux is made up of a bedroom with a double 180 cm x 200 cm bed, a large wardrobe, mirror, and bedside tables with lamps. The bathroom, located near the entrance to the apartment has a sink and a large shower. The separate toilet is located near the garden access door. From the living room a large French door gives access to the garden which is for the exclusive use of the apartment where the dependence of about 40 sq. mt. is located and situated on 2 floors. On the ground floor there is a living room with a sofa that can be converted into a 160 cm x 200 cm bed, a flat-screen TV, a chest of drawers, and a desk, while on the upper floor there is a double bedroom with a 160 cm x 200 cm bed and a small wardrobe with a mirror. There is also a bathroom with sink, shower shower stall, and toilet. Technical characteristics of the building: - The apartment has laminated parquet throughout, the only exception is the bathroom where a synthetic material is present - Heating and hot water are centralized with a thermostat to regulate the temperature in the apartment - There is an intercom without a camera to open the entrance door. The apartment’s door and lock are not armored Important: - There is a communal laundry room available to customers free of charge in the basement (floor -1) with washers and dryers. Access to the basement is via stairs - The apartments in this building are not suitable for those with mobility impediments since there is no elevator - Requests for the presence of pets must be assessed and authorized by Halldis personnel - It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the apartment ** Guests are required to pay a city tax of €8 per night. Parking There is paid parking on the street throughout the area (except residents) at the following daily rates: €1.50 per hour - €25.00 half day - €50.00 for 24 hours. The nearest paid garage is My Park and is 500 meters from Lantsheere on Rue des Tongres. Public transportation - 400 meters: bus stop 61 (Chevalerie), towards Montgomery and Gare du Nord - 400 meters: bus stop 27 (George Henri) with terminus Gare du Midi, useful for those who are arriving with the shuttle bus from the Charleroi airport (terminus Gare du Midi) and want to reach the apartment via public transportation - 650 meters: metro stop Merode (lines 1 and 5), ideal for those who want to reach the European quarter and the city center without changing line, and for those arriving by bus from the Zaventem airport towards Place Schuman. Merode is only 1 metro stop from Place Schuman (stop: Schuman). Area The apartment is located in a residential area within the European Quarter. Below are the main attractions and their distances from the property: - 150 meters: Clinique d’Europe hospital - 400 meters: Parc du Cinquantenaire, a beautiful green area where you can jog, picnic on a sunny day, walk, and attend events and concerts during the summer - 500 meters: Rue des Tongres, a shopping street full of clothing stores, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, and malls - 1.1 km: Halldis Patriotes Residence - 1.5 km: Place Schuman, in which the European Commission and the Council of Europe are based.
