The property is situated on the outskirts of the small village of Vares just north of Tonneins on the banks of the river Garonne (accessible by Bordeaux and Bergerac airports) in the heart of the French countryside, the area is known as a paradise for fishing enthusiasts. Vares offers a local store (selling bread and newspapers), a convenience store and a bar. Tonneins hosts a large selection of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants and weekly markets. We just returned from a fabulous week here. Accommodation was beautiful and Kerry and Coleen who are the caretakers bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we needed. Wish we could of stayed longer.

We stayed in the house with 14 people. Outside the house is extremely good for 14, but inside we thought it was a little to small. (certainly to sleep comfortable) Other than that we had a wonderful stay. The owners are great and very helpful....More

Tonniens which is set on the river Garonne is the closest town, 8km and only a 5-10 minute drive from Pie Pasquie. Tonneins is a market town with a supermarket, post office, banks, local market, restaurants - everything you would expect a typical French market town to have. There are many great attractions locally such tennis, golf, kayaking, horse riding, fishing, walking or just relaxing by the pool.

Ryanair fly to Bergerac from Liverpool, East Midlands & Stanstead Flybe fly to Bergerac from Birgingham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Leeds, Gatwick, Manchester & Southampton Easyjet fly to Bordeaux from Bristol & Luton Flybe fly to Bordeaux from Southampton St Malo is the nearest Ferry Port aprox. 6 1/2 hr drive. Depatr Portsmouth Brittiany Ferries & P & O. The Cheaper Ferries are L D lines Portsmouth or Newhaven to Dieppe 8 1/2 hr drive. & Speed Ferries Dover to Calis 9 hr drive. We can arrange cheap car hire for smaller groups. Please enquire.
