Less than 100 footsteps from tranquil Morne Rouge BBC Beach, St. George, Grenada, The Love Shack is a little ole’ place where you can get together. The self catering condo is a one bedroom with a American king-sized bed, plus a double lounger sofa bed, so it sleeps up to 4. (5 if someone loves a hammock on a veranda!).
The fully fitted kitchen is dated, but offers you all appliances in good working order- including fridge/freezer, range and cooking utensils. For coffee lovers, there’s a coffee machine. For teatotallers, there’s a kettle. A microwave and toaster is available for the non-chef types. (Sorry, tea and coffee not included).
The bathroom is also shabby chic, but fully functional, although the bidet is now a modern art sculpture! Coming soon – an outdoor shower to rinse the sal...

Cozy, Relaxing, Location
Absolutely amazing, comfy homey feel with the best veranda! Small kitchen is perfect for vacation needs when so many good restaurants are around. AC works great, but the veranda is where you will end up most the time. Washer but no dryer (stuff dries quick on the clothes lines). highly recommend for those looking for a quaint small beachy getaway!

Location, location, location
The veranda is worth its weight in gold with its stunning views, as was the swimming in the sheltered bay which is only a few steps away. Can't wait to go back.

The Magnificent Love Shack
the Love Shack was absolutely magnificent. The location is amazing. Just steps away from the beach and close to everything else. It was the perfect size for 2 and the hammock facing the beach was perfect to watch the sunrise and sunset everyday. Restaurant and bar on the beach, grocery store and Grand Anse beach were in walking distance. The Love Shack was easy to get to and had all the basics needed. Very comfortable place to stay for a week. We truly felt like we were home. Highly recommend and will definitely look to stay here again on our next visit to Grenada.

Great stay!
My husband and I just returned from a week-long stay at the Love Shack. We loved it! The cottage is just as Faith described it, and the view is even better than we anticipated. Morne Rouge beach is maybe a 45-second walk down some steps and a short hill. We really loved Morne Rouge, which was never crowded and fabulous for swimming. Grand Anse beach is about a 10-minute walk up a hill and down a path. It is also beautiful, but the water isn’t as calm and there are more people (although it was never crowded when we were there). Check out La Plywood for drinks and delicious fresh fish, and Sur la Mer for tasty meals (a bit slow, but good) on Morne Rouge beach, and also Sangria if you want to have a nicer, leisurely dinner. It was great to have all these restaurants right there, but also to be able to access the Grande Anse area easily. You can also get a pretty cheap cab if you don’t want to walk those hills to and from the Grande Anse area, but it’s really not bad. Faith is incredibly responsive and informative and will answer all of your questions and offer great suggestions. The Love Shack is not luxurious, but Faith doesn’t claim it is. If you want a nice beach cottage with a great porch in a perfect location, you need to stay here. The bed is large and comfortable, and the AC works well in the bedroom but it actually wasn’t terribly hot most of the time. We really enjoyed sitting out on the porch for breakfast and in the evenings (great hammock out there too!). We didn’t have much of a problem with bugs. The construction next door was not really an issue either. They never started before about 8:15 a.m. and worked usually until about 4:30 p.m. The noise was mostly hammering so it wasn’t bad, and we weren’t “home” during those hours most days anyway. I highly recommend staying at the Love Shack!

Cosy private appartment with a beautyful terrace at BBC beach
I loved to stay in this fully equipped apartment in a central but seemingly remote area and spent most time on the terrace with the terrific view and private atmosphere when home and not sleeping. Elaine, a very kind assistant, introduced me to everything (e.g. how to lock various doors and gates). The local beach bar two steps down the street in front of the apartment was great for a light dinner or just a Carib in the evening. The beach is almost empty of people except on weekends when also young locals like to enjoy their island (unfortunately people's cars and vehicles used for delivery emit clouds of diesel exhaust that annoyed me sometimes). Anyway, the location is perfect, the bathrom was nicely decorated, everything functioning and I loved the special anti-mosquito-door and net on the window. The closest surrounding is also worth exploring. There is a secret beach on the headland of Mourne Rouge. In summary, I can warmly recommend this and thank the owners.

A view to die for
Booked through Airbnb after reading reviews and not disappointed. Certainly not 5 stars and the pictures advertised were accurate, but the view, location and locals were worth every penny. We will be booking next year for my BD 👍👍

Absolutely Amazing! Stop now and book it!
This was one of the most amazing travel experiences we've ever had! We stayed at the Love Shack for our first year wedding anniversary. Perfectly comfortable space for the two of us. Comfy bed with excellent a/c (and this comes from me, who is a bad sleeper!). Cooked dinner at the Shack one night, every thing we needed including cookware, utensils, and basic spices/seasonings. IGA supermarket close by. I can not say enough about the view!!! We were wowed on a daily basis sitting on the porch having breakfast! Mr. Bentley was super helpful with check in & getting us settled. We snorkeled right out on the bay and saw tons of lobsters, fish, sea eels, and even lionfish! (Go over to the left hand side of the bay, facing out toward the ocean, there are some submerged pilings about half way out that were loaded with sea life). We had several meals right down the street at the Ash's and Fish Pot food stalls in the Grand Anse Spice and Craft Market, and watched the sunsets on the beach while our dinners were being prepared. Also a shout out to D'Joint near the Carneage- great meal there. Book the Love Shack NOW- you won't be disappointed! It was great to not be in a hotel, and away from the touristy areas (but every thing is a short walk or drive away!). If you're going during turtle nesting season (think it's April-July) before you leave book a conservation tour to go see the leatherback turtles nest at night up on Levera Beach- amazing opportunity! And the tour at the Belmont Estate was really fun (good lunch buffet too). Thanks again Faith and Steve!!!

Perfect!!!
We spent five nights here after a week sailing. Such a perfect location, just steps away from the beach, and a great view of the beach from the veranda! The condo had everything we needed and more, especially loved the second shower that was outdoors. This condo is close to two beaches, stores, and restaurants...all within easy walking distance.

Cozy and Romantic
So happy that we found this little love shack. It's cozy, romantic and the perfect location for a honeymoon. It's literally steps away from the picturesque Morne Rouge Beach. Everything that you need is neatly packed into the shack, you don't have to leave if you don't want to. The view is incredible, We really enjoyed the hammock and the sunsets from the patio is breathtaking. It's the perfect little hideaway.
I must apologize, this review is way overdue. I must also mention that the owner is not only kind, but patient and accommodating, as we had a minor communication issue prior to my arrival which was all my fault for not checking my junk mail; but Faith was and angel and everything worked out perfectly. The hosts were most gracious.

About the neighbourhood
You're bound to make some friends if you stay long enough! Hang out at the beachside bars, get a little dressy and eat fresh tapas at Sangria restaurant, or just hang out on your private veranda with a beer, overlooking Morne Rouge beach.
Getting around
We recommend using our preferred driver, Greg, to give you a tour of the island. His fee is competitive and he is an excellent driver. Amber, our hostess, can also help you set up other tours.

How to get there
The best way to reach us, either from the Ferry Port in St. George's or from the airport, is via taxi. Taxi's are readily available. The Grenada Love Shack is located at Mahogany Run, a gated condo community on BBC beach.
Direction: Past the resort previously known as Flamboyant and before Gem resort. The main gate is across from Sweetly Confectioner coffee shop and bakery. Your will get further directions with your booking form.
