Inverfarigaig, Loch Ness, Scottish Highlands, Scotland
Cosy traditional detached forester's cottage, totally refurbished, new kitchen, bathroom and central heating in the village of Errogie, (just up the hill from Inverfarigaig, Loch Ness). Log fire with free log supply. Warm, comfortable and finished to a high standard throughout, yet at a reasonable price. Woodside is in a peaceful woodland setting, with mountain views, and a stream running through the garden, just above Loch Ness, making Woodside a wonderfully cosy cottage from which to witness highland wildlife. Well fenced garden for dogs to play safely, private drive way and large lawns with picnic table. Lots to see and do in this unspoiled, area of Stratherrick just 3 minutes drive up the hills above Loch Ness. About the neighbourhood
Errogie is a wonderfully peaceful village close to Loch Ness. In each direction there are other villages and attractions, so it is an ideal touring base. In nearby Dores and Foyers you will hotels and restaurants. Inverness and Fort Augustus are only 25 minutes drive away. It is the ideal base for touring the highlands and Islands, for example, the Isle of Skye is a lovely day trip from Woodside, as are Fort WIlliam and Ben Nevis, Ullapool and Oban. Supermarkets in Inverness will deliver to Woodside for just a few pounds (order online).

How to get there
Airport: Inverness: 30.0 km
Railway: Inverness: 22.0 km
Driving: Take the B862 from Inverness city centre all the way to Errogie (16 miles). It is a road with many twists and wonderful scenery, crossing cattle grids, passing Lochs and beware of sheep on the road ! When you get to the village of Errogie (25 minutes), Woodside is the second cottage in the village on your right, behind a metal farm gate. (Next door to Woodside is a more modern cottage called “Skoorah” which also has a metal farm gate). If you come from the other direction (Whitebridge) Woodside is the second to last cottage on the left as you leave Errogie.
