Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Seventh Heaven
WOW! Amir deserves to be a super host. The Dome was exactly as pictured and described. I stayed for 3 blissful nights. I met the Borneo rescue dogs and cat. Whiskey and I made friends :) Sky is cautious but no trouble at all. Kitty - Shadow if correct was smoochy. The accommodation is clean and has all you need. Amir is a gracious host and ensures you are comfortable and is there for anything you may need. We had some good chats. The property is close to Paeroa and Waihi if you need supplies. I will definitely go back again.

Magical Views, Great Company and Serenity
We were so excited to find that the accommodation and views both far exceeded the (already amazing) pictures! Amir and Hilda were really welcoming, making sure we were comfortable, felt safe and were perfect hosts (even making sure I didn't forget my jacket)! We had plenty of privacy, fresh fruit and time with the Alpacas as well as easily accessing all the local attractions. The king bed was super comfortable with the best views to wake up to and the bathroom was fully equipped with everything you need, including unlimited hot water! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy nature in comfort and stay off the beaten track within easy reach of all the North Island has to offer. This was our favourite accommodation of our New Zealand adventure from Auckland to Milford Sound and we can't wait to return. Note: if you don't like nature, animals, music, hot showers, fluffy pillows, peace or fun then this place isn't for you.

A lovely dome-icile
With a great view overlooking lush, green hills & valleys - and the giant ferns that give it an almost primeval vibe, The Dome is little slice of NZ paradise. Ticks all the boxes with it's creature comforts & amenities and perfect for singles, couples or even a small family. A bit far out in the country (would need a car) but that's the whole point isn't it?
