Ty Isaf - Mountain Views, Fireside Cottage

Cottage -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Blaenau Ffestiniog, Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, Wales
We offer a homely stone cottage with valley and mountain views, with fresh linen and towels provided. There is an original fireplace with fuel for your first night provided, and a lovely covered decking area outside with table and chairs, to drink coffee whilst admiring the mountain views. There is also a private natural garden with access to a tumbling stream where you may see a heron fishing!

With a range cooker and butler sink, the cottage can happily cater for four people. There are 4 beds in two rooms: one larger room in a super king or twin layout, and an additional two beds in the bunk room which caters for adults or children.

There is a good pub with a very warm welcome within short walking distance of the cottage, called the Manod Hotel; it is dog friendly and has free WiFi! A little further but still within walking distance...

About the neighbourhood
Blaenau Ffestiniog is the starting point of the beautiful Ffestiniog steam railway, which links with the Welsh Highland steam railway in Porthmadog to run through Beddgelert and past Snowdon itself - you might even hear the whistle from the Cottage! Blaenau is a small mountain town, but has pub and hotel foods, as well as takeaways. There are a growing number of activities to suit many tastes based in the town, ranging from the classic tourist attractions of the newly updated (2014) Llechwedd Slate Caverns, and the gorgeous Ffestiniog Railway to fun for the little ones at the Bridge Cafe, and the world class mountain bike courses by Antur Stiniog for the active.
Getting around
Blaenau Ffestiniog is served by mainline trains and buses to Porthmadog, Betws-y-Coed, Llandudno and beyond. All stops within walking distance of Ty Isaf. Roads take you to coast, valleys and mountains!
