The Lamberhurst Area The historic village of Lamberhurst was once famous for its iron. The great Gloucester furnaces produced the iron rails around St.Paul's Cathedral. Now the village has relaxed into a quieter pace offering visitors beautiful countryside and excellent food. Lamberhurst is a great base to explore castles, cathedrals, museums and historic houses; they are all part of the scenery. Located just 40 miles south of London, the area combines history and some great leisure activities.More
