About the neighbourhood
Southwest France is steeped in history, both ancient and pre-historic. The closest bastides, or ancient walled cities perched on cliffs, are Roquecor, Penne d'Agenais, Tournon d'Agenais and Lauzerte. You can find a morning or night market just about every day of the week in the area around La Durandie. For the children, Parc Walabi Aquitaine is outside of Agen, about 30 minutes away. Down the road is the lake at Montague-de-Quercy with its clear water and sandy beaches. Parc Naturoland makes for a great outing with the children and is a 20 minute drive away. Please visit us on Facebook for more local attractions.
