A trail to a spectacular waterfall is right on the property. A green space in front of the cabin for badminton, outdoor games and a fire pit. Relax in a custom-built , timber-framed cabin tucked on the edge of a forest. Enjoy peace and tranquility on a historic estate in a community graced with natural beauty and lots of artistic folks.

We live on the property, and share the 50 acre estate with the Wedgwood Retreat. There are trails on the property that you are welcome to use. Our home is separated from the cabins by gardens and trees. You have your own space and privacy. We are available if you need help, or for suggestions for places to visit during your stay.

We spent 4 nights in this charming, well-appointed cabin and the experience could not have been more pleasant. The cabin is situated in Crawford Bay, just a couple of miles from the Kootenay Ferry Landing, so it is a perfect base for exploring both sides...More

About the neighbourhood
Crawford Bay has a large sandy, public beach which is gradual enough for small children to play safely. The small community has lots of hiking, and biking trails and is known for its' artisan shops that encourage visitors to watch the unique crafts being made.The community park has a interesting, new playground that will delight both children and adults. The actual bay is 3 miles long and provides a safe place for kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding.
Getting around
Kootenay Lake is a 7 hour drive west of Calgary,4 hours north of Spokane, and 9-10 hours east of Vancouver. Crawford Bay is on the east side of Kootenay Lake, and can be accessed by following highway 3A from Creston or by taking the 35 min free- ferry ride across scenic Kootenay Lake. No where else in the world can you take such a long free-ferry. If you wish to visit Nelson or Ainsworth Hotsprings during your stay you will have the chance to take in the amazing mountain and lake views from the Kootenay Lake ferries.
