De toren is fascinerend! Het is een gerenoveerde middeleeuwse toren met een prachtige moderne inrichting. De tuin en het uitzicht zijn fantastisch, heerlijk genieten vanuit de hangmat of lekker eten onder de druiven. Als het donker wordt, dan worden de toren en de bomen verlicht, wat er schitterend uitziet, opdat moment besef je dat je logeert in het stadsaanzicht van Tuscania. Als je Tuscania nadert, dan zie je namelijk de karakteristieke torens, die kenmerkend zijn voor de stad.
De vele heerlijke pizza's die we buiten hebben gemaakt in de schitterende steenoven zullen mijn kinderen nooit meer vergeten! Ontbijten op het dak en genieten van de ochtendzon met het schitterende uitzicht rondom heeft een onuitwisbare indruk bij ons achter gelaten.
De stad is één groot museum, alles ademt geschiedenis uit, overal ontdek je weer iets nieuws (ouds). De opgravingen beginnen zelfs al een paar meter buiten de tuinmuur waar studenten een zeer mooi stuk van de Via Clodia hebben blootgelegd. Wil je nog meer historie proeven, Rome is vanuit hier zeer goed aan te rijden. Wijn zijn negen dagen geweest (april/mei) en we kwamen tijd tekort, er is zoveel in de omgeving te doen.
Sanitair en de slaapkamers zijn top!
Deze toren is echt een aanrader, laat deze kans op een bijzondere ervaring niet schieten!

Via een klein landweggetje net buiten Tuscania bereik je de toren. We zijn prima ontvangen. Het appartement was zeer schoon. Het is smaakvol in stijl van de toren ingericht. De woonkamer is niet groot maar verder prima verzorgd. Er is voldoende keukengerei, maar wel slechts 2 gaspitten. Wij sliepen er met zijn zessen (2 luchtbedden) maar eigenlijk is het geschikt voor 4 personen. De eigenaar vond het niet erg dat ons onverwachte bezoek in trok dus dat was erg fijn. Het is rond de toren een en al rust. Je hebt een prachtig dakterras waar je 's avonds fijn kan zitten. In de tuin ontbreekt het wel aan comfortabele stoelen, maar we zetten gewoon de eettafel bank en stoelen buiten. Het ligt op loop afstand van Tuscania. Dit is een echt prachtig dorp. Eigenlijk is de hele streek leuk voor activiteit zoals mooie dorpjes zoals Viterbo, het Bolsena meer en het strand. Echte aanrader dus.

"Nous ne saurions trop recommander cette splendide demeure de caractère. Séjourner dans une tour du 17 ième siècle est une expérience inoubliable.
Située dans une charmante ville ancienne, entre deux superbes églises romanes, au milieu d’une campagne magnifique, Tuscania est le lieu de séjour idéal pour qui s’intéresse à la civilisation étrusque.
Une décoration de bon goût, un confort sans faille font de la Torre un lieu de vacances tout à fait dépaysant, enchanteur et plein de charme.
Quant à la gastronomie locale, il ne faut surtout pas négliger les délicieux poissons du lac de Bolsena et les sfogliatelli artisanaux d’une des boulangeries de Tuscania. »

Très bel endroit dans une région riche en découvertes, tour restaurée avec beaucoup de goût, nous avons cependant rencontré un vrai problème avec le chien qui gardait les moutons dans le pré mitoyen de la propriété ( impossible de profiter du jardin, biens personnels abîmés) Dommage mais très facile à améliorer sûrement...

We liked the tower very much! It was really amazing to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the etruscian valley and to visit the surrounding cities and sights. We really enjoyed our holidays and hope to spend some weeks there again next summer! Claudia and family, München

The Tower, the views, the location, everything was excellent. It is an actual medieval tower beuatifully renovated and decorated. Tuscania and the surroundings have a lot to offer.
We were very pleased to stay in the Tower and discover the area. We will certainly come back.

What a great place to relax and take in the surrou...
What a great place to relax and take in the surroundings. This property is an easy walk into town or any of the historic sites. The views from the roof top patio are wonderful. There are all of the modern amenities with the charm of an Italian villa, that just happens to be a watch tower. The grounds are filled with fruit trees, flowers, exotic plants with a trellis and picnic table.
Highly recommend this property as a Base of exploration of central Italy. We drove to Florence and Rome in just under two hours.

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to experience the true Italy beyond the typical tourist destinations of Rome, Florence, or Venice. Incredible tower looking out onto the rolling Italian hillside in one direction and the town of Tuscania's ancient church and walled city in the other. Very central location to do day trips to Lake Bracciano, Bolsena, and civita bagnoregio. And it's all less than 90 minutes from the Rome airport!
It is a tower, so just be aware that this wouldn't work well for anyone with mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs to the bedrooms. But it was absolutely perfect for our group of two adult couples.

We stayed at Roberto's tower for 4 nights and had a great time. The location is perfect for exploring Tuscania (and beyond), Roberto was an excellent host, providing valuable information about the property itself, and also Tuscania, and responded to messages very quickly, which was helpful. The property is well-equipped, has plenty of space, although it's split over 3 levels, so bear that in mind if you have young children, or people who struggle with stairs.
The roof terrace has fantastic views. The property felt very secure and safe, and even on hot days, stayed relatively cool due to it's thick walls. It's been very nicely renovated inside, with modern touches, and Wi-Fi.
A highly recommended place!
