Bob's is a no smoking holiday let which sits within the boundaries of the family farm where sheep and cows are traditionally reared and farmed. Looking out of the bay window of the living room you will look across the Washburn valley that remains unchanged for centuries. Bob's itself has all the amenities you would expect from a modern holiday home including a bath, shower, hairdryer, TV/DVD, stereo, small baby cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, cooking eqpt, Crockery, cutlery and kettle. Outside there is parking for one car whilst you also have the use of one of our gardens including outside seating and barbecue. Whilst we are self catering only we have our own freshly laid free range eggs to purchase whilst we always have milk and bread available too. Whilst we are self catering only we have our own freshly laid free range eggs to purchase whilst we always have milk and bread available too. The bedroom is ensuite and has a double bed, wardrobe, mirror and views along the valley. The ensuite bathroom has a bath, shower, wc, sink and heated towel rail. The living area has a fitted kitchen and we supply all the pans, crockery, cutlery, plates and equipment you will need for your stay. There is a dining table for four, TV/DVD, stereo, docking station and a place to change your muddy boots after a hard days walking. A large sofa/bed seats three and also turns in to a metal framed double bed with mattress. If you have a guest or child on the sofa bed please note the only wc is in the ensuite bathroom. We have secure storage for bikes and are able to take in food deliveries for your convenience. We also provide a comfort pack on arrival including tea, coffee, milk, loo roll and dishcloths. We supply all bedding, towels and tea towels. Bob's was totally re-wired in 2017 to latest legislation and is fitted with smoke and carbon monoxide alarms for your safety and security. Bob's is also all on one level, no stairs and parking right outside the front door. We allow one well behaved dog as long as its kept off the furniture and brings its own bed. It also must be kept on a lead around the farm. We have wifi via a mobile broadband dongle for email and surfing but not for the streaming of films or downloading large filesMore

About the neighbourhood
Skipton is often referred to as the gateway to the dales and mixes an old market town feel with all modern facilities. You may wish to visit the castle, take a trip on the canal or visit on market day. For a unique experience why not visit the theatre at the cattle auction, selling sheep by day a live show at night. Harrogate is famous as a spa town and well as all the normal high st stores boasts some of the finest boutique shopping in the north of England. Or why not book a session at the Turkish baths or visit the valley gardens, a haven in the middle of town. Also check out what is on at the showground. Moving in to the Dales then Settle, Ripon, Grassington, Masham, Kettlewell, Ingleton and Leyburn are all within an hours drive.
Getting around
Within an hour you can be in York city centre, again by train or car with access to the Jorvic centre, chocolate experience or Minster or why not shop in the shambles. Finally if sport is your thing then we have an abundance of local sports facilities including golf, athletics and horse riding whilst Otley is a famous cycling town. The racecourses of Ripon, Wetherby and Thirsk are all less than 45 minutes away. We are 6 miles from the nearest railway station and 5 miles from the nearest bus so a car is pretty essential
