Beautiful and comfortable beach cottage in Quatsino Sound on the northwest side of Vancouver Island. Accessable by a 15 minute water taxi ride from Coal Harbor, which is 20 minutes from Port Hardy. The view is stunning of the Sound. West Coast kelp beds, and small islands dot the view. Inside the main floor are two bedrooms with single beds. Upstairs is a bedroom with a queen. Gourmet kitchen with Wolf commerical stove. High speed satellite internet. Handcrafted 1930s home was a wedding gift to daughter from a master cabinet maker. Next to the famous Eagle Manor Resort. Floating dock in front of house ready for your boat.

About the neighbourhood
Quatsino Sound is the largest inlet on Vancouver Island, located at the NW corner, it has one town, Coal Harbor, and two hamlets, Quatsino and Winter Harbor. Quatsino has a permanent population of about 50 people, mostly retired fishermen and loggers, as well as the owners of several fishing lodges. The area is pristine and wildlife rich - sea otters, orcas, humpbacks, and seals are abundant. Quatsino faces south on the north side of the sound and has a 5 km well kept road that connects the residents to each other, a school, post office, historic church and government wharf. A walking trail leads to a nearby freshwater lake that offers good trout fishing.
