We will assist with making any necessary transportation arrangements from Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose (SJO), or one of the local regional airports in Quepos or Palmar Sur, to property in Uvita. We will also arrange all excursions/activities/tours with reputable companies in the area, provide a link for grocery delivery, and make reservations at any restaurant. Our goal is to make your trip to Costa Rica enjoyable and as relaxing as you want it to be. Uvita is one of the Central Pacific's best kept secrets. The beaches are beautiful, the hills are lush, wildlife is abundant and its the perfect place to surf, horseback ride or just relax. Uvita has great restaurants (coffee shops, microbrewery, local, fine dining), grocery stores, banks and pharmacies. If you are looking for a beautiful beach destination that is far less developed than Manuel Antonio, Uvita is a fantastic alternative. The highlight is Marino Ballena National Park, featuring the famous sandy "Whale Tail" where migrating humpback whales can be seen just offshore. You can whale watch, dolphin watch or snorkel. Uvita also makes a great base for exploring Dominical (12 miles North) which is a fun, funky hippie and counterculturist enclave with great shops, dining, live music, candlelight yoga, spas, bars and beach. The tiny town of Ojochal is 9 miles to the South and is known as one of the best foodie town in Costa Rica. Ojochal also offers easy access to Playa Ventanas, a small and beautiful beach famous for its sea caves. For those who enjoy golfing, the southern pacific’s only golf course, Osa Golf Course, is an easy 25 minute drive south. The property is accessible anytime after 3 pm on the day of check-in. Guests will receive their custom PIN access code to the door approximately 48 hours prior to arrival. The home is completely private. There is shared gated access to the property with one other home. The property has two bedrooms: 1) The Owner's Suite has vaulted ceilings, queen-sized bed, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, armoire, en-suite bathroom with toilet, sink and shower, floor-to-ceiling windows and access to the covered outdoor patio. 2) The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, armoire, ceiling fan and air conditioning. Free use of clothes washer and clothes dryer. A 4x4 vehicle is required to arrive to the home. Home is accessible by any SUV/AWD/4x4. Smaller automobiles and 2WD will not make it to the home. For insurance reasons, Osa Property Management cannot transport guests in company vehicles. Please contact Osa Property Management if you would like to secure private transportation during your time at this wonderful property, and/or transportation to/from San Jose International Airport (or any other airport). This newly improved Uvita vacation villa now has a private swimming pool (added in July 2024). Guests love the open floorplan and the jungle views from the floor to ceiling windows, giving the feeling that you are living in the jungle, all while in a comfortable, air conditioned home. There are two patios - one on the floor where the living space is and one down a level where the private swimming pool is located. The Owner's Suite has access to the patio upstairs and an en-suite bathroom (plus A/C). Every vacation rental managed by Osa Property Management/Costa Rica Las Villas will have the following provided: Full bag of local Costa Rican coffee (125 mgs) Dishwasher soap One box of Kleenex per bathroom Dish cleaning sponge Shampoo in every shower Soap in every shower Hand soap at every sink Laundry detergent Coffee filters Cooking oil Dish soap (sink) Pepper Paper towels Napkins Toilet paper Trash bags Salt Age limit: No children under the age of 8 allowed. Please note: Before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details with us to complete your booking. You will be contacted via email and/or text to complete the verification. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.
