Beautifully decorated 3 bedroom cottage/Victorian Villa situated within the designated conservation area of Matlock Bath and a five minute walk to the shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The cottage has a privileged position, commanding views over the river Derwent and the valley towards Matlock. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms which sleep up to 6. There is a good sized master bedroom with a gorgeous antique king size French bed. A further double bedroom with another antique French bed and a third bedroom with a bunk bed which are full size single beds however it is recommended only small adults sleep on the top bunk. All of the bedrooms can accommodate a travel cot. The bathroom has a lovely freestanding Bath with freestanding taps and shower. The contemporary kitchen diner has a log burner and an original chequered quarry tiled floor and a table and seating for 6. The lounge has a sumptuous Chesterfield sofa, 40” TV with Freesat and WiFi. There are beautiful views across the valley from this room and the master bedroom. There is full gas central heating and wireless internet. Fuel, power bed linen and a starter basket of logs and firefighters are included in the rental rates. 1 high chair, 1 travel cot (not bedding) and a baby monitor are all included. A selection of books, toys and DVDs are provided for guests use. Outside There is a beautiful cottage garden and separate courtyard outside with a hardwood table and seating for 6. A barbecue/fire pit is also provided. There are a few steps to the therefore it is not suitable for guests requiring wheelchair access. The steps do have handrails to assist. There is on road parking for vehicles outside the property however this is on a first come first serve basis. There are beautiful walks and bike rides from starting from the front door of the cottage. Discounts may be available for mid week and last minute bookings. Please email for a quote. More

Matlock Bath is a truly unique village with something for everyone including stunning scenery, huge limestone cliffs, beautiful walks and bike rides, cable cars, a theme park, 2 play parks, gardens and rowing boats, a mining museum, canoeing, climbing and a variety of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Cromford is a short walk away which has the accolade of the Unesco world heritage site - Cromford Mills. Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are a 15 minute drive away. Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield are less than 1 hour away.
Getting around
Matlock Bath is the perfect place to explore the Peak District. There is a railway station and bus stops less than a 10 minute walk away, The train can take you direct to Matlock, Derby and Nottingham. The bus can be used to explore the Peak District or to major cities such as Nottingham, Derby and Manchester.
