It forms part of a recently renovated belle époque villa in the charming sleepy village of Dagnente, just minutes by car above Lago Maggiore and the enchanting lakeside town of Arona, a perfect jumping off point for so many destinations. This spacious apartment comprises three high-ceilinged rooms and two bathrooms featuring the finest period style fixtures. The bright, airy main room offers stunning views over the garden. Room 1 is the master bedroom with a double bed. It's hidden away on its own, at the top of the old original staircase. Room 2 is a lounge, including a new sofa bed which easily turns into two comfortable single beds or a double bed. Room 3 is a fully furnished kitchen overlooking a private terrace for the use of guests. The main bathroom is spacious (toilet, shower, bidet and washbasin) while the second bathroom is smaller but still offers a shower, a washbasin and a toilet. Most of the furniture is antique with several original features such as folding interior shutters and chandeliers. The beautifully restored villa, completed in 2015, is surrounded on three sides by a large two-level garden with an abundance of space for relaxing in the sun or lazily strolling around whilst enjoying the scents and colours of the flowers and plants. Guests often comment on the overwhelming sense of complete tranquility throughout the garden. You can choose between various seating areas, either in the shade or in the sun. The patio, with its top-quality, sturdy wooden garden chairs makes the perfect spot to enjoy a drink in the evening whilst admiring the stunning views of the castle, lit up at night during the summer months. The patio is also ideal for an al fresco breakfast or for simply curling up with a good book. You'll have no worries about leaving your car by the roadside: we provide secure, private parking on the property. It took us four years to bring the villa back to its original glory and we believe we have found the perfect balance between the modern and traditional, salvaging and incorporating as many period features as possible in this splendid house which now offers all the practical benefits of an entirely new building. In accordance with the latest eco-principles, we chose to focus particularly on healthy, natural building materials, primarily hemp and clay. In the unlikely event of inclement weather, there is a cosy area on the ground floor where you can relax on comfy sofas whilst reading a book. More

About the neighbourhood
Arona boasts an outstanding strategic location, being close to many local destinations and transport hubs. Above all, it is easy to reach by train, bus, car or boat, and is just 5 minutes from the A26 motorway and 30 minutes from Italy's n° 2 Airport: Malpensa. The villa can easily be reached by bus from Arona or otherwise it is just 30 minutes on foot from Meina railway station down on the lake. However, in order not to be tied to public transport timetables, we advise you to arrive by car. 15 minutes away by car you have Stresa and its world-famous islands whilst 5 minutes away is the charming lakeside town of Arona; though little known outside Italy, lively Arona is the Lake's undisputed nightlife capital, offering a host of wonderful traditional restaurants and bars, patronised most...
How to get there
We recommend taking the E62 motorway (either north or south bound depending on where you arrive) that runs alongside Lake Maggiore. Exit at Meina, just north of Arona (at the southernmost tip of the lake) and follow signs to Dagnente, taking the SP35 Via Ghevio-Dagnente. Continue along the SP35 until you reach the village of Dagnente. At this point the SP53 is now called Via Verbano and the Villa is at number 70 on your left side opposite the old centre of the village.
