This recently renovated property, completed in 2014, is situated in a large natural park just 5 kms from the picturesque village of Cotignac in the scenic area of the haut Var. Typically provencal, places of interest include the St. Croix lake and the 'Gorges de Verdon'and Thoronet Abbey and it is located approximately 1 hour from Aix-en-Provence, Toulon and the Cote d'Azur coast. Ideal for hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, canoeing and golf. The original part of the house dates back to 1860 with the extension built in the 1970's. It has been completely modified to modern day standards including double glazing, full insulation and an ensuite for each bedroom. How to get there
1.5 hours by car from Marseille airport. 2 hours from Nice airport. Car hire available at both airports and is highly recommended due to the remoteness of this location. Another option is to rent a car from Aix-en-Provence; a town easily accessible by train and just 1 hour by car. You might like to take the opportunity to visit Aix while you are there; a very pretty town.
