Our roomy home is in a quiet neighborhood with large dining and living areas, was recently renovated and has a big, private, back porch. Shaded by mature mulberry trees, you can actually use the outdoor seating and large gas grill during an Albuquerque summer, and its still nice and sunny in winter. The house has three good sized bedrooms, two full baths with tubs, and a separate laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. The eat-in kitchen (table and breakfast bar) is bigger than mine, and features full-sized fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and gas range with oven. Home is air conditioned (NOT an old swamp cooler that sounds like a jet taking off and requires you to keep all the bedroom doors open to stay cool...) and centrally heated.

Your host lives minutes away and can usually sort out minor glitches in a hurry. Otherwise, I'll stay out of the way during your stay unless requested. The front door has a keypad with a 4 digit entry code unique to each booking, provided before you arrive. This allows you to self check-in at any time, and everybody in your party has a 'key' they can't lose. I will personally inspect the property before you arrive to make sure everything appears to be in order, but will also make sure I'm available to answer the inevitable question or two.

About the neighbourhood
A nice back porch with a barbie, full laundry and kitchen, a secure backyard that the kids and fido can't escape from, and sofas to sloth on. All in a quiet area close to uptown shops, restaurants and cinemas with hassle free parking and easy access to go anywhere else. That's about it. If you need nightlife and chic hipster bars in walking distance instead of two convenience stores (and don't we all, sometimes?) I'd recommend a place in Nob Hill instead.
Getting around
Public transport? Yeah, sure... this is the Southwest. Simply put - there isn't much. Uber works well in Albuquerque, and the house is a short ride from the airport and train station. City Buses nearby (Indian School and Wyoming routes) can get you to most of the sights cheaply with enough patience and transfers. Albuquerque also has a fabulous network of bike paths and dedicated bike lanes on back streets - accessed from you street. My wife commutes to downtown from 3 miles further out. Usually too hot in the middle of summer, can be cold and icy in the dead of winter. Otherwise, you really need a car to go anywhere easily. Downtown Zurich, this is not.

Railway: Albuquerque Amtrak: 14.0 km
Ferry: Long Beach: 1,292.0 km
The house is close to the Wyoming exit on I-40, and just East of uptown.
From the airport, take I-25 north, then I-40 East (Towards 'Santa Rosa'), drive a few miles then take the 'Wyoming' exit and turn left (north). Then Left at the lights on 'Constitution'. Without traffic this is a ten minute drive.
