A lovely little home that provides respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Hummingbird Cabin is beautiful, comfortable and much, much more that a cabin and the owners provide everything you would need--except your meals--to make your stay the best.

Everything is just right there. Very good clean well-maintained fully equipped cabin, way above average. Secluded but not isolated. Fantastic outdoor setting, river access, grill, tall pine trees, fresh air. No TV and cell phone reception in the canyon is a big PLUS. We enjoyed...More

About the neighbourhood
The Pecos River offers exciting trout fishing from the river bank right in front of the cabin and from islands accessible to the cabin, as well as various lovely locations nearby along the canyon road. Visiting are occasional ducks, turkeys, deer, raccoons, beavers, skunks, bobcats and bear. Hummingbirds abound at the cabin feeders. Visitors may easily obtain a New Mexico fishing license and bait in Pecos or nearby Tererro.

Many hiking trails in the Pecos Wilderness and the surrounding Santa Fe National Forest, some to remote alpine lakes, are a drive farther up NM 63, a narrow local road that winds along the river and comes to a dead end high in the mountains at Jack’s Creek. Guided horse rides into the mountains can be arranged in nearby Tererro.
