We stayed here for 4 nights and this was an ideal property for our multigenerational family gathering. We occupied the chalet and the cabin. The large living room in the chalet and the attached, spacious deck were perfect gathering places for the family. We were lucky to have great weather and few bugs, so we spent lots of time outdoors. The propane fire pit and hot tub added to the deck appeal. The chalet and cabin are older units that have been well-maintained. They were perfect for our informal, family group. Communications with the host were timely and clear. We would love to stay here again. Thanks!

This property was warm and cozy and comfortably slept 8 adults. Everything we needed was included along with some extras! The hot tub and back porch was a bonus and lots of fun was had playing fooz ball in the basement. Close to the highway (without hearing or feeling it) into Anchorage and surrounding areas and easy access to XC ski trails. Super chill and relaxing holiday vacation!

We had a nice stay. The cabin is comfortable with plenty of room. We had a business trip but didn’t want to stay in a hotel. This was super nice. Great back porch, grill, hot tub, and fire pit. Everyone enjoyed the stay.

Wow - what a wonderful time was had by all who tra...
Wow - what a wonderful time was had by all who travelled up to Eagle River for the Thanksgiving holiday! The Lodge and the Chalet were perfect for our large group, who travelled from the lower 48 (Georgia, to be specific) to spend time with our new grandson as well as the new mommy and daddy. Both sets of grandparents, one great-grandparent, an uncle, and a long-time family friend all stayed in the Lodge.
There were plenty of bedrooms so that we were all very comfortable in the Lodge, while the new family mostly spent the night in the Chalet. The new mom and dad were also able to hand over the baby to one of several eager grandparents, so we would take turns watching him while the new parents got some much needed rest.
There is lots of space in both places, so even with the number of people we had, there were plenty of spaces to retreat and we never felt close to crowded or in each others way.
The location itself was great! We went for a nice winter walk across the street in the woods (only discovering one bear track) and went down to the north Eagle River exit if we wanted to find a place to eat or go grocery shopping. For a couple of days, we ranged out as tourists, making it down to the Nature Center in Portage and then up to Palmer. We also went up to the Baldy Mountain trail head for sunrise on Thanksgiving and had a wonderful view of Denali some 130 miles to the northwest.
Finally, we also prepared our Thanksgiving feast in the kitchen in the Lodge. There was everything we needed from crock pots, to spices, to lots of pans and bowls. There was plenty of room on the dining table in the Lodge for our large party.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! You have a great place and did a wonderful job taking care of us and making sure we had everything we needed!
