The cottage is located in Paradise Park on two acres of beautifully landscaped with over 100 palms and fruit trees. The trees were planted over 10 years ago, so the palms are large enough to give share in the heat of the day. Large Royal palms line the driveway and the fruit trees are producing sweet fruit. We spent two nights at The Royal Palm Acres. It was a quiet getaway and not far from the areas we wanted to explore; Volcano National Park, Tide pools and parks near Hilo. We were especially grateful for the laundry room to refresh our clothes in the middle of our vacation. The wonderful fruit trees provided us with good snacks during our outings! I would recommend arriving during daylight. The dark country road was a little intimidating for us but we made it with our trusty Google navigation. We still had good cell phone signal. The property had all the amenities one would need and gear for outdoor activities was a bonus.
