The cabin is rustic. It looks like the original carpeting. We had issues from the time we arrived but the owner was responsive even though he was in another state. The toilet leaked- like on my husband's head downstairs in the kitchen. A repairman replaced it quickly while we were gone for the day. They provided only 4 towels even though we had 3 guests and were there for 3 nights. We couldn't get the internet to work and the owner said there was an issue that had to have a technician come in. He expected us to be there while the tech came to repair it. Since we couldn't be there he reschedule the repair until we left and his cleaning person could be there. (We had plans every day and it was not possible for us to wait around for the repairman). So, zero internet. My husband was working remotely and this was a huge issue. He is a college professor teaching online classes. Internet was important! The owner was apologetic and said he would refund some of our money. And then, I never heard from them again. I did reach out before leaving a review and they did not respond. I feel this is a generous review.

Absolutely disgusting. Avoid property at all cost!...
Absolutely disgusting. Avoid property at all cost! We booked for four nights and after the first night, we realized there were rat dropping under the burner of the stove and we checked out that morning. After asking host for a refund they would never get back to us or the booking agent. Worst experience ever.

Looks are deceiving
This is a duplex and the neighbors are not friendly nor do they adhere to the quite times that are listed This was not walking distance to anything Driving was over 30 minutes everywhere The linens were not clean and we purchased our own The kitchen was not stocked to be cooked in

Time away in the woods
If you like the rustic atmosphere, quiet surroundings and that overall country feeling than look no further. We had a really great time and enjoyed the peace and quiet. There are now crowds to face or busy check ins. We felt at home and rested quietly after our day of site seeing. This was a nice gem of a place for us.

Not a cottage.
It is a multi unit dwelling that sits right on the road with neighbors on all sides. The interior is cute.

The love cottage!
This was such a cute, clean, quaint little cottage near a private lake! We enjoyed waking up every morning to a cup of coffee on the deck. It has a rustic vacation feel with all of the amenities included! Autumn was wonderful to communicate with, and made our weekend stay a breeze! I highly recommend this place to couples looking for a long weekend getaway. Short drive to downtown Harpers Ferry for sight-seeing and hiking :) A+++ !

Shannandale visit
We were only helped into our accomodations by another lady who lived in the 6 apartment building. She gave us the code, to get into the lock box, for the key. I guess I though we would go to an office to speak to manager, for any help needed. Other than that, place was clean, coffee & supplies were available this morning, and a rooster woke us up!
