Cabin Holiday Rental
Stay in an authentic Civil War Cabin just 45 minutes outside of Charlottesville, VA. This cabin, which we call Logwood, was originally built before the Civil War by Confederate Soldier William Tolley for his bride. Our soldier lost his life in the Battle of Chancellorsville, leaving behind this unique piece of history. Many of the logs are original. Wood floors, exposed logs, low overhead beams that you have to duck, and a cast iron clawfoot tub with no shower make this a fairly rustic cabin, yet it has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The full kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, silverware, pots & pans, and cooking utensils. The loft bedroom contains two full-size beds. Relax on the porch swing, or eat your breakfast at the table, and savor the soothing sounds of running water. Activities and attractions about within just a short drive of this cabin. Driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking in Shenandoah National Park or exploring the Skyline Drive, horseback riding in the George Washington National Forest, and kayaking on Sherando Lake are just a few of the outdoor attractions. Learn about Virginia history in towns such as Waynesboro, Staunton, and Charlottesville. No matter what activities you choose, you're sure to appreciate returning to and relaxing in our Cabin Logwood, and its unique place in history. Internet and phone are available at our office, located 3 miles from the cabin.More

Enjoyed a fun friends weekend at this lovely, rustic cabin nestled in the scenic Virginia mountains. Loved the back porch, with a swing and overlooking a babbling brook with a fire pit. I didn't bring my pet but this tidy little place is pet friendly...More
