Loved having firewood at the ready for a cosy apres-ski fire. Appreciated relative proximity to Toll Road lift, which gets you far enough up the mountain to cross-over to several other lifts. For your afternoon skiing, when you just want to glide without fighting the mountain or the crowds, the slopes served by this lift are perfect. The longest trail on Mt Mansfield is Toll House Road (3.7 miles I think), and it's an "easy" trail, so a great way to end the day with a long run almost to your doorstep. We were there three nights; if you're planning a longer stay, maybe consider lodging in the town of Stowe, as the resort didn't seem to have a lot of dining options.
