Wellcome to Casa Tordesillas,

The coolness of the high mountains and being close to tropical beaches, makes it a unique place. Nearby cascading rivers and jungle trails for the more adventurous that can be covered hiking or on horses of our own breeding, spanish andalusian crossed with costarican paso fino. About the neighbourhood
Our farm and home is up on top of the ridge of the Coastal Range, on the south west coast of the Pacific in Costa Rica. It is sorrounded by tropical forests and cascading rivers, the nearest village is 3 km away and the beach (National Marine Park of Marino Ballena) is 12 km by rural road (4X4 required). We have several water springs, one of which feed the house. It overlooks the ocean, to the west and the tall Tallamanca range, with the highest mountain in Costa Rica the Chirripo, to the east. A good place to observe nature, wild life and very good birding, since the farm is set at a mountain pass comming from the ocean low lands to the fertil valleys on the other side of the ridge. On the western border, an impresive scarpment of a 1000 mts, overlooks the tree tops of the tropical... more
