Damp, mould, dirt, absolute hell hole
This place is horrendous a health hazard. Damp, mouldy, dirty. The entrance surrounded by building barriers. Was so bad we had to move

Rats!
My initial impression was not great as soon as I noticed the hideously stained sofa that looked like an orgy had taken place on it the night before! Which was also kind of a reason to stay...but I digress.
However the staff put a blanket on it the next day so I let it slide.
But after a rat ran down the hallway under the aforementioned sofa...well it was time to leave! I tried to locate the rat (which I think may live inside the sofa) and found a poison box in the corner, so they were fully aware of this infestation.
The poison box was potentially accessible to my 2 year old who was playing on the floor when the rat ran past her.
We left after 2 nights and only received a partial refund (booked for 5). They stated (6 days later) they could of moved us to another property hence only the partial refund. I wouldn't stay anywhere managed by this firm! However as I said this offer was not made immediately anyway. Infact despite trying to contact them that evening via phone, mobile, text and email no one responded until later the next day. Even then it was by text message, not a phone call as you would of expected. So we were left with no choice but to leave as my wife has a phobia of rats. I'm not a massive fan either.
In addition, if anything else needs to be said, the smoke alarm in the hallway had been beeping as obviously short on battery. We had put up with it but I think another guest complained. Rather than change the battery they removed the alarm leaving no coverage.
Otherwise, it was a good location on the high street close to everything in Barry!
