This cottage is all on one level and is situated between St. Davids and Fishguard in the hamlet of Penparc, on the St. Davids Peninsula, close to the centre of the best stretch of the Pembrokeshire coast, namely north east of St Davids. The cottage is situated within the protected Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, roughly a one mile width strip following the full length of the coast in the county. It is just six very easy driving miles from St davids which despite being just the size of a village, is actually deemed to be a city (the UK's smallest by far!) due to its magnificent cathedral. There are extensive sea and coastal views from the immediate environs although not from the cottage itself, from where there are only brief glimpses of the sea. Penparc where the cottage is situated is just a hamlet,of a dozen or so houses, but one mile down the lane is the much loved village of Trefin, which is almost surrounded on three sides by the coast. The cottage itself is really accessable, as its only 300 yards from the main St Davids Fishguard road. The cottage has been built in the last few years, but with plenty of character giving the impresssion of a much older cottage. When last inspected for grading purposes a couple of years ago, (we have not bothered since with grading as tourist board grading does not hold as much sway as in the past) It was actually given in the grading process sufficient points as would ordinarily make it a five star cottage, but the lack of a dishwasher precluded a five star grading, so it was graded four star, but the points awarded reflect the quality. In fact we subsequently put in a dishwasher and have spent £10,000 further upgrading other areas, so have no doubt that if we put it for further grading it would easily achieve what used to be the coveted five stars. The spacious living room is open up to the rafters and benefits from a log-burning stove giving an open light and truly relaxing feeling. As well as being comfortably furnished the room also has a television, video , DVD player and stereo CD/radio system. It has two settees, one a really long one, so actually seating five, but means that a couple can really stretch out. This room has the benefit of French doors which open out onto a small garden with garden furniture. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with extensive wardrobe space and extra thick mattress . Last year have completely revamped the shower room, its now very modern spacious and smart - used to be a bathroom, so now well above average size for a shower room. Apologies for the fact that our own photo does not do justice to the shower room. The dining kitchen has been refitted about three and a half years ago by a quality tradesman and benefits from a full size cooker, washing machine, fridge and microwave. There is every gadget and utensil you will need for your holiday along with good quality crockery and utensils. All furniture beds, bedding and furnishings are of the highest quality and tastefully appointed. The information folders are well organized and must praised by visitors and tourist board inspectors alike. It will be seen that there has only been one review (a 5 star one) on this site, the reason being that although we have very successfully run this property as a holiday cottage for 14 year now, we have only this year listed this property on this site and we of course get bookings from a number of different sources. On a similar but competitor site to this one there have been more bookings this year and 14 reviewers, all of whom gave us five stars. However the points awarded by the official National Tourist Board (and the significant improvements since then) are a genuinely good guide - dare it say it, perhaps better than individual reviews in any event! For some reason this year 2019 we still have as at 6th june some vacancies for the next couple of months, (normally all weeks till mid spetember are booked out by spring - or even earlier) so whilst we have not increased rentals by more than a couple of quid since the recession started, we have now reduced the available weeks to what we were charging back in 2006 (despite the numerous improvements made since that time) More

I really enjoyed staying here, very comfortable sofas, clean and well equipped place to stay. Very well located, plenty to see and do. Trevine is a great village.
