Ty Nancy

Cottage -
3 Bedrooms , 2 Bathrooms , Sleeps 7
St Davids, St Davids Peninsula, Pembrokeshire, Wales
Ty Nancy consists of two late 18th century Grade 2 listed cottages, converted into one. It has recently been thoroughly renovated and is spacious and comfortable while retaining enormous character and charm. It has a small secluded garden, which contains the ancient 'cowled' spring which was once the principal water source for local people.

The cottage is located on Quickwell Hill, near the centre of St David's, close to shops and cathedral and 10 minutes walk from the sea. It sleeps five in three bedrooms, or seven if two use the double sofa bed.

St David's is an attractive tiny city in an ideal location for the coastal path. We visited Caerfai beach which is a mile from the cottage door and has stunning views and great surf waves. We ate dinner at The Bishops, had afternoon tea at...More

Ty Nancy is a wonderful, quirky cottage in a fantastic location! Great start to explore St Davids, the amazing beaches and coastal walks. The house felt very much like a home and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We would love to come back!

The cottage/location are great. However, the property is very tired inside, the oven only just works and things like stair gate/cushions/foot stool are in very bad repair. On our return the owner has made a claim against us for damage we insist we do not...More

About the neighbourhood
St David's is officially the smallest city in the UK, though it's no larger than a small village. It is famous for its magnificent 12th century cathedral and ancient Bishop's Palace which are situated in a hollow, out of sight of pirates.

The city is some fifteen minutes walk from the Pembrokeshire coastal path and is a centre for artists and naturalists, including bird-lovers.
Attractions include boat-trips, swimming, surfing, diving, rock-climbing, bird-watching and golf. There are many good restaurants in the city, offering meals ranging from fish and chips to haute cuisine.

The nearest railway station is at Haverfordwest, and there is a bus to take passengers the extra fifteen miles to St David's. The cottage has parking for one car....

How to get there
Arriving by car, you should aim for Haverfordwest then drive on a long winding road for 15 miles or so to St Davids. You'll very quickly find yourself in the main village square. Take the 3rd exit into Nun Street, and then the first turning on the left, which is Quickwell Hill. You'll see Ty Nancy straight away, the only large pink cottage around, and you can park in front of the garage.
