Holiday Rental House
The Thatched Cottage at Treberfedd Farm is a unique Grade II listed Georgian cottage. Originally built in the mid-1600s, this cottage is a rare example of a thatched Welsh farmhouse. Overlooking the meadowlands of Treberfedd's working farm, the cottage provides enough space to comfortably fit eight people, while maintaining the feel of a cosy cottage. An equal blend of modern comfort and rustic charm makes this the ideal location for a short break or longer holiday. The Thatched Cottage consists of a fully-equipped, farmhouse-style kitchen with dining area which leads to a cosy sitting room with comfortable furniture, television, an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. A basket of wood will be provided for guests upon arrival. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor, attractively furnished with antique bed and bedside cabinets and chest of drawers. There is one further sitting room that features some original wall paintings dating back to the seventeenth century. The bathrooms are located downstairs featuring one shower and toilet and another bath with overhead shower and toilet. The cottage has a wooden staircase leading to three bedrooms on the first floor: a master double with king size bed, a triple room with three single beds and one single room. With its carefully restored features and exposed wall paintings from the 1600s, the Thatched Cottage is a true heritage gem in the heart of the famously stunning Aeron Valley. The cottage also features a hot tub adding a touch of luxury and the perfect escape from the outside world. More

About the neighbourhood
Just 15 minutes’ drive from Treberfedd Farm, the town of Aberaeron resides around the estuary of the River Aeron and is home to one of Wales’ most famous ice cream kiosks and cafés serving local seafood. Eating fish and chips by the harbour is a must and the well known Harbourmaster Hotel is a favourite eaterie for locals and tourists alike. Aberaeron offers a real taste of seaside Wales, with its lovely pastel coloured Georgian houses and beautiful enclosed harbour. The beaches of Aberaeron are usually fairly quiet and great for inquisitive kids who want to explore rock pools along the shore. Within the town there are also two well equipped children’s outdoor play areas with playing fields alongside. Here are some of our favourite things to do around Aberaeron: A stroll around the har...
