It is a beautiful, spacious and luxurious property offering all mod cons to ensure our guests experience maximum comfort within a beautiful and rural setting. The ground floor comprises of a large kitchen/ dining area and a breakfast area with a double sided mixed fuel stove, ideal for entertaining family and friends. A library, come snug, offers a wide range of books and an open fire as well as a wide selection of DVDs, Satellite TV and a Hi-Fi system with speakers throughout the house. The Master Suite offers the comfort of a large double bed and french doors to the garden, a large en-suite bathroom with his and hers basins, free standing bath and wet-room shower. On the first floor the property comprises of a spacious lounge with a wood-burning stove leading on to a large south-facing terrace overlooking the Estate. There are a further four double bedrooms (3 double and one twin-room). All bedrooms have locking doors and en-suite bathrooms with showers over baths. To the back of the house, on ground-floor level, there is a 20m exercise pool heated by an air-sourced heat pump and is in operation from April until October at £500 per week. (The door to the pool is lockable to safeguard children from using the pool unsupervised.) The Main House's entrance has a ramp gently sloping up for wheelchair access, the house has 3 toilets on the ground floor and wide easly navagable corridoors and rooms, previous wheel chair users have been very happy with the access. To make the feeling of luxury complete our bedding is 100% goose feathers and all our towels and bedlinen are 100% cotton. Hairdryers are available and WiFi is accessible throughout the house. The property also has a laundry room with two washing machines, a tumble dryer, airers, iron, ironing board, hoover as well as mop and bucket. There is a drying area by the main hot water tank for damp clothes.More

We had a lovely stay at this very well equipped huge house in idyllic surroundings. Huge living spaces and nice pool and great walks around the estate. Great for big groups. A good drive to the main road but worth it for the amazing views....More

We stayed at Ballimore for 5 nights with our group. We were 9 people who love trekking and we have never felt short of room as the main villa of the estate (there are another 2 small cottages too) is really enormous! Lots of sofas...More

Ballimore Farm Estate is 1.5miles North of the village of Kilchrenan and 7 miles South of the community of Taynuilt. Taynuilt sits on the shores of Loch Etive. This thriving lochside town with a Post Office, butcher, hairdresser, tea room and grocery shop. Its ideal when wanting to stock up on essentials, have a cream tea at the Robin's Nest Cafe or buy the morning papers. The Taynuilt Hotel (on the A85, towards Oban) has a pub and restaurant and offers great deals on family and group meals. Those looking to explore the local attractions will find the Bonawe historic iron furnace in Taynuilt, a relic from an industrial past around 1800 that produced up to 700 tons of iron per year. How to get there
From Glasgow: Take the M8 towards Erskine Bridge and exit at junction 30, following the A898 signposted 'Loch Lomond'. Continue onto the A82 towards Crianlarich, along the banks of Loch Lomond. At Tarbet take a right turn and continue on the A82 further along the banks of Loch Lomond for roughly 40miles. Just outside Crianlarich take the bypass and continue on the A82 towards Tyndrum. After 'The Real Food Cafe' and the 'Green Welly' in Tyndrum take a left onto the A85 towards Oban (for approx. 23 miles).
