This is a modern cottage with a stunning sea view (binoculars provided for whale and dolphin viewing) It lies in the village of Portvoller, about twenty minutes' drive from the main town of Stornoway (main ferry terminal), and ten from the airport. There are frequent flight and ferry links to the mainland. Please note that we don't have Wifi at Suil for a complete sense of relaxation but there are loads of books games and DVDs! You will find complete peace here. The furnishings are modern and comfortable, towels and linen provided. The cottage is ideally placed to explore. The island is famous for its beauty, abundant wildlife, and friendly and relaxed approach to life. The world famous Callanish stones are easily accessible. We have many sites of historical significance, including Dun Carloway Broch, and the Iron Age house in Bosta. Comments from our guest book; 'Your cottage is absolutely stunning! It has been the best one we've ever stayed in. We were in a dilemma as to whether to stay in the cottage to enjoy its beauty or explore the island. How we wished we could have stayed longer.' 'My stay at Suil Cottage gave me a dilemma. Should I go out and explore, or stay in the cottage in comfort peace and brilliant sunlight. In the end I managed to do both. There will be a next time and I will look to return to the home from home that Suil Cottage has been.' 'We have so much enjoyed staying at Suil Cottage. Seven days has barely been enough time. You have supplied everything we would ask for along with the most stunning panoramic views and ever changing seascapes. Quite fantastic.' 'Thank you so much for making this our base for exploring these wonderful islands. We were rewarding with amazing vistas, sun and the majestic sight of a golden eagle from 30 feet! It was our first visit to the Outer Hebrides; it won't be our last.!'More
