This traditional self-catering accommodation situated in the village of Port Ellen is the perfect base to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Scotland's whisky island, Islay.

Just 200m from the pier, marina, and near local beach, shop, pub/restaurant, the Machrie (golf) 8km, and transport links.

An ideal location for walkers, cyclists, canoe/kayakers, bird watchers, whisky trailers, beach combers, and those just looking to relax and enjoy the sea air, and great outdoors.

Owner lives next door, and will give a personal touch to greeting and any assistance.

A very fully stocked, house in town, which makes you feel like you are part of the community. The three south distilleries are nearby and so is the Oa, plus its on the route out of town to Bowmore if you happen to need anything else. About the neighbourhood
There are several places to eat out nearby, or local shops if you choose to eat in.

The Cyber Cafe is great for kids on a rainy day, or just rap up and get out and enjoy the Scottish weather.

Three distilleries nearby can all be walked to if you're reasonably fit - or take the car and you'll be there in 10 mins.

Watch the boats coming and going from the local marina, or watch the sun going down on the beach.

You may even see the friendly Sammy the seal.

There is a Bus stop neat by, or bike and car hire is available.

If you feel adventurous, you can take the Sea Safari or other boat trips from the pier.

Airport: Islay Airport: 8.0 km
Ferry: Port Ellen: 0.2 km
If you're walking off the Ferry at Port Ellen (nearest terminal), it's just up the the main road and bear left passed the Islay Hotel and Spar, then two door up.

If you're coming off with a car, you can park across from the house, and ask for the private off-road parking if desired.

If you're coming off the Plane, we can arrange a Taxi to the house.

And if you're arriving or departing from Port Askaig (furthest terminal), you'll have a 35 minute drive.
