Beaminster, Dorset, England
A pretty stone-built terraced cottage located on a quiet street in the heart of the charming West Dorset town of Beaminster, a short walk from its excellent restaurants, pubs, food and gift shops. Beautiful walks from the door and only a short drive to the spectacular Jurassic Coast with its stunning coast walks and beaches.

Dorset Cottage is a sweet little bolthole - a perfect base for a relaxing holiday and ideal for singles, couples and for small families with a baby or young child. Nick and Jo, who look after the cottage, live around the corner with their two young children and dog, have spent the past few years exploring the area. They have put together a guide to all the wonderful things to see and do near by and are happy to advise you on activities and sites to visit during your stay.

About the neighbourhood
Beaminster is a pretty, bustling market town, 6 miles inland from the coast. Its Ham stone buildings lie nestled amongst the surrounding gently rolling hills and woodland.

There are several good cafes and restaurants, such as the luxurious and cosy Bridge House Hotel. And there are plenty of 'browsing' shops too, including two branches of Cilla and Camilla with clothes, kitchenware, gifts and toys, Pomegranate with kilims and Spanish pottery, and Ann...
