Lower Coombe Royal was built by Roger Bond Luscombe in the early 1900's after Combe Royal, the older mansion north of us, was badly damaged by fire. The Lower Coombe Royal estate is hidden away among acres of historic gardens on the edge of Kingsbridge, near Salcombe, in South Devon yet 2 minutes from the thriving market town centre. The 200 year old Devon Coach House is nestled up the valley, hidden away in its own private glade. It is situated on the edge of the apple orchard and the historic American Garden. Getting around
The Coach House is located on the outskirts of Kingsbridge, a small market town in the South Hams, at the head of the Salcombe Estuary. It is well served by local buses which go to Salcombe, Totnes, Dartmouth, Plymouth and a few local villages. During the summer season there is a ferry from Kingsbridge to Salcombe. The Coach House is approximately a 10-15 minute walk into the town centre.
How to get there
It is possible to get to Lower Coombe Royal by public transport. Totnes Railway Station is approximately 20 minutes drive away, there are also regular buses from Totnes to Kingsbridge. Alternatively it is 20 minutes from the A38 if you are coming by car.
