Badgers Cottage is picturesque & peaceful, set in the heart of the countryside, with stunning views. Most people who come to stay here want to 'get away from it all'. We have a treadmill in the cottage, if anyone uses it they do so at their own risk. No shoes on the wooden floors No hair dye to be used in the cottage We have two cats, they don't live in the cottage but will be about.

Fantastic exactly what was offered and more

Perfect rural location. Beautiful views, private garden and full access to home grown veg. The spuds were the best! Lovely welcome for Alyth and everything you needed in presses down to condiments olive oil etc and a lovely welcome pack of brown bread eggs cheese...More

Amazingly well equipped little hideaway in the fields

This little gem is just right for 1 or 2 people and situated away from the road in the fields. It is only just over an hour driving from Dublin and a great place to get away from it all. It is very spacious, clean...More

About the neighbourhood
It is a quiet farming community, with a local school, church and village hall a few miles away. Gorey town which is the largest nearby has five supermarkets: The largest is Tesco Extra (Ramstown, Gorey), then there is SuperValu (Main St, Gorey), Lidl (Arklow Road, Gorey), Aldi (Goreybridge, Gorey) and Iceland (Gorey Retail Park, Courtown Road) There is a small theatre (Gorey Little Theatre, Pearce St) showing Irish plays, a cinema and several Indian, Chinese, Italian restaurants and local bars. There is an Irish music session in Frenchs Bar (Main Street, Gorey) every Thursday night. Restaurants we recommend include: The Duck Terrace Restaurant & cafe bar Katie Daly's Bar & Restaurant The Kitchen Eco Pizzeria & Restaurant There
