Had a great time even though it rained. We went up to gaze at stars but you can't predict the weather. We painted pumpkins from a local stand, caught salamanders ,hiked and just relaxed

Cabin was fairly quiet most of the time. There seemed to be a lot of ATV/UTV traffic on the road at times well after dark. Had to do some minor cleaning in the kitchen and bathroom before we used those areas, but we always do that anyway. Disappointed that the pond did not have any fish. We would definitely stay again.

I booked a cabin with internet,tv and wifi. When we got there it didnt even have cell service. The place was clean but the bed was too soft and uncomfortable. We left because it didnt have any Wifi service or cellphone services
If you want to totally off line this is the place for you. Also no TV

My family and I had a wonderful stay. This cottage is very rustic, but also comfortable. It had everything we needed. I really enjoyed cooking over the fire pit and on the retro stove! It was really nice to disconnect, teach my kids how to use a VCR and watch some old favorites, catch salamanders newts and tadpoles in the pond, listen to the bullfrogs at dusk, and watch the billions of stars come out. We even saw a meteor shower. It was amazing to witness.
The surrounding towns are quaint but have the necessities, groceries, gas and gifts. Not to far of a drive to cherry springs, the pa Grand Canyon, and lyman run, they all have the beautiful scenic natural wonder that Pa state parks are known for. We all got a chance to rest and relax and enjoy each others company. This place checked all the boxes! Thank you!

We had a wonderful weekend getaway even though the weather didn’t cooperate for foliage or starry nights. Great dinner at Mama’s BBQ!!! Only negative from our standpoint was the downstairs bed where we slept. It was too soft and not comfortable but that might just be our preference.

Such a great place to "get away from it all" and have a taste of old-fashioned "cabin in the woods" living with no cell service and a working woodstove. The erie silence at night was amazing. Unfortunately we only had one clear night to see the stars, and it was the same spectacular views you would get at Cherry Springs State Park.
I only put 4 stars for communication with property manager because since there is no cell service, should an emergency arise, one would have to drive at least 15 minutes north to the closest local market to get any cell service to contact the manager.
Would definitely come back though.

I loved this place and so did my dogs. It was the perfect getaway from reality. The property is nice and big and so is the house. Lots of room!
Couple things to mention (not bad things, just good to know):
-there’s a weird puppet in the window of the garage. You get used to it but it scared me a couple times.
-the last guest did leave a bag of garbage
-the main bed downstairs mattress is very broken in. You’ll slide to the middle since it dips
-the closest grocery store is about 20 minutes away.
-cherry springs state park is an hour away (not as close as I had hoped)
-no service, this includes Verizon
My only critique:
-not as secluded as I had hoped. There are three other properties on the road and there were trucks coming up and down the road. The neighbor down the hill had their floodlights on the whole night. It was quiet which was great, but I was hoping to be completely away from people.
Overall, I’d go back and highly recommend still.

I can't say enough great things about this weekend...
I can't say enough great things about this weekend! The property was exactly like the listing. Very rustic and cozy. We were blessed to have amazing weather and the Stargazing was amazing from this property! I've never seen so many stars! The entire reason for this trip.
The property manager, Pam, was very responsive and check-in couldn't have been easier. We are already planning another trip to this property. Absolutely loved it!

This cabin was just as advertised: rustic, quiet, and cozy. Loved the serenade by the peepers and frogs while enjoying a bonfire at the fire pit. The porches were great to sit on when it rained. Peace and contentment were experienced here! I'll come back for certain.
