The perfect setting for nature lovers, bird watchers, walkers, cyclists, fishermen, archaeologists and historians - there's something for everyone. Also ideally situated for touring in Somerset; Langport 10 mins, Glastonbury 25 mins, Wells 40 mins, Cheddar 45 mins, Exmoor and north Somerset coast 1 hour. It is also central to all the towns where the famous Somerset Illuminated Carnivals are held in November.

About the neighbourhood
Burrowbridge is a small attractive village on the banks of the Parrett River in Somerset and is surrounded by picturesque countryside in the heart of the Somerset Levels and has a fascinating history which reaches as far back as Neolithic and Roman times.

The village is dominated by the impressive Burrow Mump and dramatic ruins of a Medieval church which command the skyline. Climbing the Mump provides stunning views of Somerset spanning some 20 miles, and is probably most spectacular in the winter when much of the low lighing levels are flooded.

Walkers are drawn to the village where riverside walks and a network of footpaths and cycle tracks are plentiful. For bird watchers there are many RSPB sites on our doorstep including where the 'Great Crane Project' was launched - cranes...
