The wrought iron staircase, classical columns by the pool room and brass chandeliers are just some of the quirky remnants salvaged from a local Georgian manor house which was destroyed by fire.On arrival, you will be warmly greeted with traditional afternoon tea and Brigit's famous cake in the Chinese style drawing room. The guest rooms are light and spacious each with a seating area with flat screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities; New pocket sprung mattresses on beds with Eygptian cotton bedlinen, fluffy towels and dressing gowns all add to your comfort . Brigit's hedgerow fruit gin is a little extra for a nightcap. The upstairs Rose Room has been furnished to reflect the Georgian era, with an opulent yet modern bathroom. The ground floor Bluebell Room has recently been converted into a disabled friendly bedroom with a stylish walk-in ensuite shower room. Bluebell is adjacent to a lounge with kitchenette which is available for guests' use. The house is eco-friendly and we generate our own power, and use local and home grown produce where possible.Badby is set in idyllic countryside near the borders of Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire, the heart of rural England, some 30 minutes from lovely shopping in Leamington Spa, Banbury and Warwick with its medieval castle. Both Stratford on Avon, home of theatre and birthplace of William Shakespeare, and Oxford with its University quadrangles, Ashmolean Museum, and theatres are within travelling distance.More
