Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

lovely home from home but fix the drive problem.
nice pleasant home from home. it had everything we needed. two bedrooms ment we could have a bedroom each. as we are 2 ladies travelling together. the beds: the double room. the bed was fine once i got into it. however as it was a pine framed bed. as i sat on the edge of the bed to get into it i could feel the frame digging into the back of my legs. similarly during the night when i got up for the loo i scraped my legs on the bed frame. the bed once i was in it was very comfortable. the room was well furnished with plenty of storage. it had a tv on the wall, which also had the radio included. the kitchen was well stocked with gadgets. only critisym was the cupboards that held the dishes seemed to be in the wrong place. surely the cups should be above the kettle and the dinner plate above or near the hob, where there is a lot more space for serving out and spreading plates about. there was only 2 of us so it didnt cause us great issues. we had a good week apart from the rain. after a terrible disaster as we arrived. the drive entrance is way too narrow and as we pulled into it through the stone pilars my friend sandra impaled the car on a bracket which was left on the wall after gates had been taken off. this tore a 6 inch hole in the rear wheel. the sensors on the car did not detect this as the metal bracket was so low down. so we got stuck on this bracket and the car could not move either back or forward. these should be removed. we ruined our first 2 days making phone calls waiting for the rac to mend tyre. sandra had to travel to preston 15 miles away with the rac man to get a new tyre. then they said it would have to be ordered for that type of wehicle. . so it was to arrive 2 days later. sandras innsurance came up trumphs. they set up an account with a local taxi firm so we could get out and about. we used this but it wasnt as good as having our own transport to get about. the garden was really geat. we agreed that in good weather it would be nice to sit out in the back garden. it had grass, table and 4 chairs and was flat. totally fenced in so wery safe for our two tiny dogs. i have to comment on the shower. a most fantastic shower. id love to have one like this with the large shower head in the middle pouring over me. really exceptional. thank you
