Absolutely superb cottage, every single aspect was above and beyond what was expected.
Absolutely superb cottage, every single aspect was above and beyond what was expected. The owners have equipped it with everything you could possibly need. The quality of the furniture and furnishings were of a high class. The garden is spectacular, lovely to see all the different birds while relaxing there. The bed was very comfortable. The area was really lovely, seeing all the ponies around was a highlight. We went to steamer point beach with our dog most days which was huge and very quiet. The water was clear and nice for a swim. The beach was part pebble/sand and it was very clean. The supermarket is not far away and there are many take away places/delivery and restaurants. We went to a pub which was dog friendly and about a mile from the property.

We have just returned after a fantastic week at Picket Hill Cottage. This is a beautiful cottage set in a lovely location. Everything about the cottage was perfect for us and our dog. We had our own secure patio area and also use of the owners extensive and beautifully kept garden and paddock. Walks that took us straight out into the forest from our location. Lots of local places in easy driving distance. Fay and John (owners of the cottage) made us very welcome. We would definitely recommend the cottage and would definitely like to return **********

We have just returned after a fantastic week at Picket Hill Cottage. This is a beautiful cottage set in a lovely location. Everything about the cottage was perfect for us and our dog. You would think the close proximity to the A31 would be a problem.
You would think the close proximity to the A31 would be a problem. it was not, no road noise inside the annex, minimal outside. Grounds were outstanding, plenty of sun trap areas to sit. Walk from property right into New forest if you want or great dog walks at Linford, Rockford or Appleslade 10 min by car.
Ideally placed for Ringwood (2ml) and Burley (3-4 ml) We did not want for anything, had a very relaxing break which the mixed weather did not affect.

Wonderful cottage in lovely location and more than just dog friendly.
Wonderful cottage in lovely location and more than just dog friendly. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed safely running around the paddock. Very close to some excellent pubs, beaches and of course the New Forest. Shops were nearby so couldn’t ask for more. We will definitely return

Had a lovely break with our dog.
Had a lovely break with our dog. Garden and paddock were superb, step outside and you were in the forest proper. Trying to get the car back on the main road safely was awkward but learned the back-ways quite quickly. Looking forward to returning for another stay.
