The Old Barns originally formed part of an old dairy farm and is surrounded by stunning English countryside. It is ideally located for exploring the outstanding countryside, wildlife and picturesque local villages and hamlets as well as Stockbridge, Winchester, Salisbury, The New Forest and Stonehenge. Bramble is one of 4 one bedroom cottages forming part of a stunning barn conversion. Each cottage consists of upside down accommodation with a South facing balcony for Alfresco dining. Upstairs you will find a light and airy duel aspect open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with beamed and vaulted ceilings. This leads out onto the South facing balcony with tables and chairs for enjoying Alfresco dining or enjoying a glass of wine while you watch the sunset. We are surrounded by fantastic countryside and high quality pubs and restaurants, but also less than 30 minutes away and you are in the beautiful cities of Winchester or Salisury. Great for couples, families, dogs and friends and family (you can rent all 4 cottages and they interlink with the balconies). Please note that from the beginning of 2018 until the end of March 2018 we are carrying out building works on our other barn and there maybe some noise and building materials. Please feel free to ask about the works to determine if you feel it will effect the enjoyment of your stay. More

About the neighbourhood
Enjoy the countryside: Opportunities for walking, horse riding and cycling are abundant in the Test Valley with highlights being the 44-mile Test Way and the annual Test Valley Tour. The Old Barns is located in the heart of the Test Valley with the Test Way on it's doorstep it is ideal for country pursuits. The Test Way was originally a canal, then later a railway, this was removed in the mid 60's and is now a wonderful walk, cycle, bridal way that runs for 44 miles (from Inkpen to Southampton). There are many fantastic footpaths and cycleway in the area. With the clear chalk streams the River Test and its tributaries on our doorstep, famous for its fly fishing with an abundance of brown trout, rainbow trout, grayling and salmon. We can provide you with links for places to go fishing....
How to get there
We are located just of the A3057 (Stockbridge to Romsey Road) 1.5 miles South of Kings Somborne in the pretty hamlett of Brook. Budget airlines fly into Southampton airport or Bournmouth airport. The nearest Trainstation is at Dunbridge (1.5 miles away) or Romsey (4 miles away) and Winchester Train Station and Bus Station is a 20 minute taxi journey away.
