Interaction with guests
There is a key safe box at the cottage door - code 1066. I try to meet guests as I just live nearby and like to welcome and answer any questions. Sometimes I may not be able to, so may pop in during your stay to check if everything is ok.
If you are only here for a short break then sometimes I don't get to see guests and also I am keen not to bother guests too much, especially if you are wanting to have a lie in! I can email or guests can message me if they are not sure about anything. It is nice to welcome guests and for then to know they can ask us anything at all.

Reviewed 2 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights in August and can't praise the owner's conversion of the cottage from 17th century animal shelter to comfortable contemporary boutique cottage enough. It's just lovely and coming back to the cottage in the evening was a pleasure because of the fact that the owner has gone the extra mile and created an extremely comfortable, beautifully dressed and well stocked bolt hole.

We really appreciated the high level of fittings - I want the kitchen ceramic sink!

Had there not been an M&S Food Hall in Penrith I would have been very happy to have made much more use of the brilliantly clean and very well stocked kitchen.

Would recommend Westoe Cottage without hesitation.

Management response:

Westoe cottage was so basic and tiny before we renovated and it was a big commitment to go the extra mile and finish as I would like it to be. I am so delighted and thrilled that guests are already loving what we have created. I like to keep as much character and charm as possible but with all the...
