About the neighbourhood
Once you get here you will find world class fly fishing, guided or DIY, spectacular scuba diving on the Great Mayan reef, or snorkeling to coral heads loaded with fish within a few yards from the beach. There are also multiple options for day trips to Mayan ruins, or other locations like Laguna Bacalar, the lagoon of seven colors. Or, you can hang out in a hammock on the beach with a good book.
Getting around
Although you can get here using mostly public transportation, our remote location and the availability of a number of day-trip options makes having a car the most recommended way to get here.
