A great meeting place. We are also close to the rendezvous of the daily Ajijic Hiking group (all levels) and Ajijic Kayaking Club(all levels). There are 2 great tennis locations which are not within walking distance but can easily be reached by bus or taxis. (We now have Uber in Ajijic) There are also pickle ball courts (about 7 miles away by taxi or bus ) and two great golf courses (one within walking distance in neighboring, Chula Vista). If you like to play bridge, there is a very active Duplicate and other bridge clubs available. We are also within walking distance of the Ajijic Auditorium where there are many local and non local performances. This Auditorium is also used for many dancing classes and other artful projects. We are approximately 40 miles from Guadalajara, the second biggest city in Mexico. There are direct first class buses that run daily from the Lake Chapala area to Guadalajara. The bus stop for the Guadalajara direct route is within walking distance. There are two great places that offer chartered tours to surrounding areas and other Mexican states. More
