The building was built in 1913. It is the tallest and most prominent building in the area. It has been almost entirely renovated including over 50 windows. We operate it as an art center ,2nd hand book store and sometimes vegetarian cafe. The view is out over the town and out overlooking the Minas Basin and Parrsboro tidal river. The Minas basin has some of the highest tides on the planet. twice each day the tide flows in with a vertical rise of 45 to 50 feet. The shore is a geological treasure. The continually eroding cliffs expose fossils and almost every sort of mineral known to mankind
