Forget resort Hotels in Trapani..they're aren't any! The best way to stay in this lovely seaside town is to rent an apartment and live like a local for your holiday.
We booked La Dimora dell 800-apartment 4 but on arrival we were put into apartment 3 (some small issue with air-con), which was a much larger apartment and had everything you could possibly need for you stay.
The entire apartment is done out in cool tiles with large shuttered doors and windows, lovely and cool even without air conditioning on. The small kitchen had most of what you would need if you felt like cooking a meal..but there are so many options for eating out in Trapani that we didn't prepare anything more elaborate than coffee and tea. There is a coffee bar (Aris) a few doors down from the apartment which we used every day during our stay, they will even deliver breakfast to the apartment. Great little place.
There is plenty of storage space in the large bedroom, so you don't feel like you are...
