Escape to our favourite cottage in Whitianga after the madness Covid-19 lock down
It was so good to be back to our favourite holiday rental, Coghill Cottage.
Thank Bob the owner for offering us the stay with special rate as regular returning guests after the lock down.
The cottage was maintained to the highest standard. With all we need in the kitchen we cooked our meals avoid going out to meet people. And there was a BBQ at the courtyard that we made our Korean bulgogi and enjoyed the burned marshmallows.
There was Netflix for us to screen dramas and movies that we love.
Oh yes, with the washer and dryer, we did not need to worry about the laundry loads that we have to do when we get home.
The air conditioning was wonderful to keep the whole house cooling.
Can't wait to return to Coghill Cottage again.

Returning to our favourite cottage and a wonderful stay
This is a historic building, Bob the owner renovated it to its current beauty retaining some of its glorious. Love the house, yes it is like home away from home. You can get everything you want here like home. Kitchen is fully equipped, you can prepare 3 meals daily here. There is BBQ at the courtyard to use and cosy outdoor dining with shading umbrella just in case it rains. Washer and dryer add convenient to guests staying few days here. The dining table next to the kitchen is large and an unit of powerful heat pump was installed here that cool the whole house in summer and warm the house in winter months. A private on site car park with entrance to courtyard. The main entrance is at the living area but we hardly used it. The rooms are beautifully setup, with romantic lightings, chandeliers, artistic master pieces, they are my dream rooms! It is located near the town. Just walking distance to the jetty, shops and eateries. This is our most enjoyable, memorable and comfortable stay in Whitianga!

Wow, you must stay here.
The cottage is superb with lots of room with some lovely touches. Some interesting industrial items turned into functional furniture. 2 Bedrooms with a really nice bathroom. Shower and roll top bath. Squeeky clean within a few minutes easy walk into the town for cafes and restaurants. ( Salt was really good).
Booked thro Booking.com, paid 575 NZD for one night,( Two couples stayed ) but certainly worth it.

Lovely Cottage!!
We stayed at the Coghill Cottage during our honeymoon in New Zeeland, and it was a lovely little place!
Although we would not choose to stay in Whitianga again, as it has little to offer, this accommodation made up for it as it is very comfy and offers the exact privacy you want on a honeymoon. The beds are super comfy and we had the best sleep in a month's trip :)
The host is also super friendly, and made us feel very welcome.
Highly recommended and worth every penny!

Perfect finish to a great holiday
Our last stop in NZ was this fantastic cottage. We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed relaxing in the cottage after mainly staying in hotels. Bob the host was fantastic, very friendly and helpful

Wow. what an awesome little cottage.
We stayed for the summer concert at Whitianga. Close to shops and restaurants. The cottage is beautiful and lots of little extras. It is well worth staying there.
