Lovely adobe home in remote, peaceful and stunning location. Watch the light change against the mesas through the panoramic windows. Walk just up the hill and you have an amazing, full view of Pedernal (you can also see it from the master bedroom and front porch). Perfect location for star gazing and astrophotography, landscape photography, walking, and area hikes. The home is beautifully decorated and cozy with everything you could need for cooking in the well stocked kitchen. Follow John's excellent directions and ignore GPS once you turn off 96. A wonderful place for silence and getting away from it all. Magical, really. Thanks so much for sharing this special home!

John's property is a lovely remote property with beautiful views of Abiquiu lake, and the Pedernal with close proximity to Ghost Ranch, and short drives to Toas, Chaco Culture National Historic Park, Santa Fe and much more. We are hoping to come back in the summer to enjoy use of the lake which has been drained for construction.

This was our second stay. This time for four night...
This was our second stay. This time for four nights so we were able to settle in and enjoy the solitude. Long walks viewing the countryside. Plenty of birds in the many gullies. Bluebirds nesting above one of the patios.
The radiant heat was wonderful as was the Kiva fireplace. This was our first experience with a Kiva. I hope we didn’t burn too much wood!
We will be back.

The house and views were absolutely amazing! The lake is very full, and it was great to watch people paddle board and boat on the lake with the binoculars. I was taking a week long class at Ghost Ranch. It did take 40 minutes to get there but the drive was beautiful! Next time I will not book a class and just enjoy the house and views!
