South Beach, supermarkets, local pubs and restaurants are only a few minutes away. The reticulated gardens have several places to relax in and you can help yourself to our organically grown herbs if you wish to create your own special meals! High quality accommodation close to South Beach, run by perfect hosts.

Within walking distance of Fremantle South Beach and with off-street parking, this one bedroom apartment is very well equipped with air conditioning, gas cooker, washing machine, clothes drier, bath and walk-in shower. With its wide veranda, I would expect the room to stay quite cool...More

Great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spotless and the owners, Joy and Tony, were really lovely. Walking distance to beach and just over 5 min drive to lovely Coogee Beach!

Great self contained accommodation

Stayed at Douro Rd 3-9 Oct, exceeded expectations. Beautifully appointed and fitted out. Located back of house and double brick so no street noise. Cool, dark bedroom, comfortable bed and pillows resulted in some of the best nights sleep i have had in years! 5...More

Superb accommodation.

Very conveniently places for all the amenities in South Freo. Fantastic property. Large rooms. Modern. The owners have thought of everything. Lovely courtyard with lemon trees and vines. Would highly recommend.

Taxi is the easiest way to get to the Douro Road Retreat from the airport. If you come by train to Fremantle Station from Perth, the 532 bus will take you almost to the front door! (bus stop just before the Chester Street / Douro Road intersection) . You also can catch a free bus (the 'Blue Cat Bus' from the Fremantle Train Station). The Blue Cat will bring you to stop 10 South Terrace / Orient Street, then travel by foot about 300 metres to our guest house on Douro Road.
