On the River, Platte River 2018 Fall Specials

Holiday Rental House -
3 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 7
Honor, Benzie County, Michigan
Enjoy the spectacular fall colors of NW lower Michigan. What better place to stay on a river and take a fall kayak trip on the beautiful Platte River where you can see the fabulous Coho run, beautiful fall colors, and peace and quiet! This is my favorite time of the year here on the Platte. You can actually fish from the dock and catch Coho spawning right in front of you without spooking the fish!

National Geographic released its list of the 21 best beaches in the world, including one attraction from right here in our backyard -- Sleeping Bear Dunes. Good Morning America listed Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore as the best beach in America. Come and explore the majestic beaches in the United States in our backyard!

Located on the Upper Platte in Honor on the river is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath 1100sq ft house for rent. Large back...

About the neighbourhood
While Michiganders are still a long way from soaking up the summer sun, our friends at National Geographic have reminded us what lies ahead.

Last year, the magazine released its list of the 21 best beaches in the world, including one attraction from right here in our backyard -- Sleeping Bear Dunes.

'Pure freshwater and 450-foot bluffs mean eyes-open swimming and vast views over Lake Michigan,' reads the location summary.

'Walk from the former Sleeping Bear Point Coast Guard Station, now a maritime museum, or along the Sleeping Bear Point Trail over low-lying dunes to the beach. In the distance look for North and South Manitou Islands, prime spots for hiking and camping.'

The Dunes are a made up of a 64-mile curve of beaches, coves!
