The 90+ year old LUV cottage was updated in 2014 for a perfect mix of old cottage and new cottage. The original cottage was built as a simple one room cottage with a single bedroom overhead. Over the years, a kitchen, laundry room, first floor bedroom, dining room, and two screened porches were added. While completing foundation work for all these areas, a section of the orignal front porch was enclosed to make a new mudroom, a screened porch was converted to a bunk room, and the deck off of the laundry room was converted to a bar-b-que porch area complete with ginerbread... Interaction with guests
The cottage has a code to enter, so you can have as little interaction as you want with us. There is a professional management company on duty and a handy man on call as needed. In addition, we are often right down the street in one of our other cottages. We do ask at a minimum that you call the management company when you arrive to 'check-in' and when you depart to 'check-out'. There is a guidebook that can help you with things to do.

The location was so convenient! We were right down the street from the bridge, playground, sailing camp, basketball courts, and they have a Market on Tuesdays. The people are so friendly and the cottage itself had everything you needed. It had 2 big bedrooms (master bedroom and upstairs bedroom - 2 twin beds) and bunk beds that are connected to...

The rates ramp up and down around the peak season in July/August. $100 cleaning fee for more than 2 people. The cleaning fee is waived for a couple.

LUV Cottage is in the historic district of Bayside Maine and approximately 700 feet from the village wharf in the Penobscot Bay complete. The wharf comes complete with swim float with lifeguard and a dingy dock. Rental moorings are available along with a town beach for storing your kayaks. There is a golf course within walking distance and sailing school available for the kids on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.

When you get to Maine Take Route 95 North to Exit 113, Route 3 East, about 45 miles to Route 1 South, about 2 miles Left at Dos Amigos Restaurant on Bayside Road. At golf course, left at three way fork on to Broadway. When you get to the main park, Ruggles Park, and wharf turn right on Main Street. Yellow cottage, second house on left, #10.
